Why is the service free for employers? We make no charge to employers and registered recruiters.  This is because we want to encourage business owners in Lanzarote to post jobs into the system; a charging mechanism would be a potential barrier to this goal.

Can I use a private email account? We are aware that some employers provide email accounts for their employers; obviously, you may not wish to display this email address in your CV or Personal Profile.  For this reason we recommend that you open a private email account such as MSN Hotmail or, if you live in Lanzarote, visit I Live In Lanzarote to get a personalised email address provided by our partners at UK Computer Services.

Can I prevent my Profile from being displayed? Yes.  Again, we are aware that you may not want prospective employers to be able to see your contact information.  For this reason we make it possible for you to block access to your Profile.  Your CV can then contain information which does not personally identify you; when an employer contacts you, it is up to you how much information you choose to reveal at that point.

How do you vet recruiters and employers? Our registration procedure for employers and recruitment agencies is simple but ensures that only legitimate employers can access our users details.  Once a recruiter has completed the registration form they will be contacted by us to ensure that they are in business and genuinely offering employment on the island of Lanzarote.  A username and password will only be issued once we are satisfied that they are a genuine employer.

Can robots harvest my email address for spam? NO.  We have a ZERO tolerance for spam / junk mail and we take extensive measures to ensure that robots cannot access the profiles for the purposes of sending junk email.  The Recruiters Area can only be accessed using a username and password pair and, once inside, visitors never see email addresses displayed on pages - all contact is via message forms held on our server.

Can I cancel my membership? Yes.  We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee.  If you are not 100% satisfied with our service for any reason simply let us know your username and we will remove your profile and CV document.  Employers simply notify us to have their information and jobs removed from the system.

Is the system easy to use? Yes - we believe so.  Our forms are easy to use and contain explanations about the information we need in detail together with examples where appropriate.
